What’s In Season

The seasons are
what a symphony ought to be:
four perfect movements                                                         in harmony with each other.

Breaking  News

The situation with my mother, since her stroke, has become more involved and time consuming than I first thought it would. She has had two surgeries and had to change nursing homes twice to accommodate the change  in her health care needs. Consequently, we will not be at market at all this year. Thank you to everyone who has emailed asking about us and extending good wishes about my mom.

Jam Varieties

Our jams are made with only fresh, natural and organic in season produce. Once a fruit or vegetable is no longer in season we will not be making that particular jam variety. If you fall in love with a particular flavor you might want to stock up until next year.

Each fruit and vegetable has their own growing cycle. Those cycles are affected most significantly by the weather. This can and usually does affect the flavor of the fruit or vegetable within that growing season and from year to year.  It may also impact the quantity of a variety that we will be able to produce.

All listed varieties are not always available.  It is based on the availability of the fruit or vegetable from our local farmers and wholesalers and the opportunity to purchase that particular produce on a weekly or monthly basis. Also, sales from the previous week will impact what we have at the next week’s market.

We may add a variety if there is an opportunity to take advantage of some different flavor profiles. With over a 100 recipes collected from around the world we have lots to choose and create from.  Please check the Order page for those varieties currently available and the Spread Your Imagination page for recipes and serving suggestions.

Some produce can be stored throughout the year without hurting it’s quality like carrots, onions and lemons. We will try and have these varieties available as much of the year as possible.
